How we handle your data
No data selling
Zero financial data sold to brokers, advertisers, or financial institutions — ever.
Row-level security
Every database query is scoped to your user ID. No query can return another user's records.
Encryption everywhere
TLS 1.2+ in transit. AES-256 at rest. All data encrypted by default.
AI data minimisation
AI insights use anonymised transaction fields only. Your name, email, and credentials are never sent to AI providers.
GDPR-aligned
Full data access, correction, deletion, and portability rights. Contact support and we respond within 30 days.
No bank credential storage
Bank connections (when live) use tokenised OAuth — your credentials never touch TrackGeld servers.

Supabase (PostgreSQL)
All financial data stored with row-level security. AES-256 encryption at rest.
Authentication
Supabase Auth — short-lived JWTs, auto-rotation on refresh, session invalidation on logout.
API routes
All API routes run server-side. No sensitive data passes through the browser directly.
AI processing
Server-side only. Transaction data sent to AI is anonymised and never includes PII.
Hosting
Vercel edge infrastructure with TLS everywhere and automated security patching.
Frequently asked questions
Does TrackGeld sell my financial data?
No. TrackGeld does not sell, rent, or share your financial data with advertisers or data brokers. Your data is used only to help you understand your finances better.
Is my data encrypted?
Yes. All data is encrypted in transit using TLS 1.2+ and encrypted at rest using AES-256 in our Supabase-powered database. Every query is row-level security scoped to your user ID.
Who can see my financial data?
Only you. TrackGeld uses row-level security in the database so no query can ever return another user's data. Internal access is restricted by role and logged.
Does TrackGeld use my data to train AI models?
No. When your transaction data is processed by AI (for insights and coaching), the AI providers we use are contractually prohibited from training on your data without your explicit consent.
What data does TrackGeld collect?
TrackGeld collects the data you provide: email, financial transactions, budgets, goals, and assets. It also collects standard technical logs (IP, browser type) for security and debugging. See the Privacy Policy for full detail.
