Cookie Policy
Last updated: 9 April 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how TrackGeld uses cookies and similar technologies when you access or use our website and web application (the "Services"). It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website when you visit it. They allow the website to remember information about your visit (such as whether you are logged in) and to function correctly. Similar technologies include:
- Local storage / session storage: Key-value stores in your browser, used to persist UI state and authentication tokens between page loads.
- HTTP-only cookies: Cookies inaccessible to JavaScript, used for security-sensitive session data to prevent cross-site scripting (XSS) theft.
2. Cookies & Storage We Use
TrackGeld uses a minimal set of strictly necessary and functional cookies. We do not use advertising cookies, third-party tracking pixels, or behavioural profiling cookies.
sb-*-auth-tokenStrictly necessaryProvider: Supabase
Stores your authenticated session JWT. Required to keep you logged in across page navigations.
Duration: Until logout or token expiry (default: 1 hour, refreshed automatically)
sb-*-auth-token-code-verifierStrictly necessaryProvider: Supabase
PKCE code verifier used during the OAuth login flow to prevent authorisation code interception attacks.
Duration: Deleted after successful login
supabase-auth-token (localStorage)Strictly necessaryProvider: Supabase
Persists the refresh token in browser local storage so your session can be renewed without re-login.
Duration: Active account session
theme / ui-preferences (localStorage)FunctionalProvider: TrackGeld
Stores your interface preferences (e.g. dashboard layout, Iron Mode state) so they persist between visits.
Duration: Until cleared by you or account deletion
3. What We Do Not Use
- Advertising / marketing cookies: We do not place or allow third-party advertising networks to place tracking cookies on our Services.
- Social media pixels: We do not embed Facebook Pixel, Google Ads, TikTok Pixel, or similar trackers.
- Cross-site behavioural profiling: We do not share cookie data with data brokers or ad exchanges.
- Fingerprinting: We do not use browser fingerprinting to identify or track you.
4. Analytics
Where we use any analytics tooling, we use privacy-respecting, cookieless approaches or aggregated server-side event logging. No analytics cookies that identify individual users across sessions are set without your explicit consent. If we introduce a third-party analytics service in future, this policy will be updated and consent obtained where required.
5. Third-Party Cookies
When the bank-connection feature launches, you will be redirected to an open-banking provider's interface to complete the authorisation flow. That provider may set their own cookies governed by their cookie policy (a link will be shown at the time). TrackGeld does not control those cookies.
Similarly, the Telegram integration operates via the Telegram API. Any cookies set on telegram.org are governed by Telegram's Privacy Policy.
6. Managing & Deleting Cookies
You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to:
- View all cookies stored by a website.
- Block all cookies or block cookies from specific sites.
- Delete all cookies or cookies from specific sites.
- Set notifications when a cookie is about to be stored.

Important: Blocking strictly necessary cookies (such as session cookies) will prevent you from logging in and using the Services.
7. EEA & UK Users
Under the EU ePrivacy Directive and UK PECR, strictly necessary cookies may be set without prior consent. All other cookies require your informed consent before being placed. TrackGeld currently uses only strictly necessary and functional cookies, so a full consent banner is not required. If this changes, we will implement a compliant consent mechanism and update this policy.
8. Updates to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy when our practices change or when required by law. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated via the Services or by email.
